This chair was a studio study made for an old friend.
It’s seat was mad so that the person could sit with their feet resting on the seat in a squat but was sturdy enough to be used in any which way they desired. During the making of this stabilization of the wood was necessary and ebony was used not only for ornamentation but for structural supports.
This was my second chair, and though there are many things to improve upon it’s still a wonderful object.
